North Felixstowe Masterplan

East Suffolk Council is leading the master-planning process for a new leisure-led Garden Neighbourhood to the north of Felixstowe, focused around the principles of a safe, inclusive community which is integrated with Felixstowe and surrounding countryside through enhancing green infrastructure networks.

Approval to proceed with master-planning

East Suffolk Council appoints design team to develop the masterplan

Summer 2023

Public engagement and consultation on the vision for North Felixstowe

Winter 2023/2024

Concept design and spatial coordination work on the masterplan

Spring 2024

Public consultation on masterplan proposals, subsequent analysis and reporting

Summer 2024

Preparation and submission of planning application

Autumn / Winter 2024/25
